BCS Financial Corporation is excited to welcome four interns to our team this summer! As part of our internship program these students and recent graduates are gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful work across the company.
To help you get to know them a little better, we asked each intern a series of fun, personality-filled questions – from favorite foods to life slogans. Keep reading to learn more about them.
About Our Interns:
Katherine Laio
Sales Intern
Q: What is your favorite place in the world? Why?
A: Costa Rica. My parents and I traveled there during Spring Break and loved it. It’s such a beautiful place and the people are so nice where we stayed. Also, there were many fun things to do- we went ziplining, jet skiing, and played pickleball.
Q: Who is your favorite superhero and why?
A: Captain America because he protects and wants to keep everyone safe while being fair.
Q: If you were stranded on a desert island what three items would you have with you?
A: I would take my phone, sunscreen, and food/water.
Q: If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
A: Live life to the fullest and find the good in each day.
Q: What would most people be surprised to know about you? Why?
A: I have a twin brother.
Alvin Li
Help Desk Intern
Q: Where’s your favorite place in the world? Why?
A: My favorite place in the world is New York City; the energy that city brings is unlike any other city, and the vibes are unlike any other city I’ve ever been to.
Q: What would most people be surprised to know about you? Why?
A: I think most people would be surprised to know my favorite movie genre is actually horror. There’s just something about a super scary movie that makes me feel alive, especially ones that are based on real events.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: My favorite food right now is ramen. I’m not a huge fan of noodles, actually, but ramen from Japan is on another level.
Q: Who is your favorite superhero? Why?
A: My favorite superhero is Spider-Man; being younger and smaller than most of his enemies, but still able to hang with the best of them, is inspiring.
Q: What is your favorite hobby?
A: My favorite hobby is playing video games. I love being immersed in another world and story.
Q: If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
A: If I had to pick a slogan for my life, I think it would be “Keep it simple”. I feel like my most enjoyable moments in life are when I’m able to forget about everything else and just live in the moment.
Q: Is there anything else you would like people to know about you?
A: I am very passionate about traveling and experiencing the world’s different cultures. I last travelled to Japan in 2023, and the thing I enjoyed the most was the food.
I am very interested in emerging technologies and how they will impact our lives. The development of social media, video games, and artificial intelligence is something that I find truly amazing.
Learning about the world of stocks and investing is another topic that piques my interest.
Tyler Schneeweis
Underwriting Intern
Q: What is one of your favorite hobbies?
A: I’ve played hockey all throughout grade school and college.
Q: What would most people be surprised to know about you?
A: My last name means “Snow White” in German.
Q: What is the nerdiest thing you do in your spare time?
A: Outside of work, I am in the process of building a life-size, remote control, fully 3D-printed R2-D2 droid from the Star Wars movies.
Morgan Slagle
Marketing Intern
Q: What is your favorite place in the world? Why?
A: My favorite place in the world so far has been Brussels. The architecture was absolutely beautiful, and the food was incredible – Belgium waffles, French fries, and chocolates were my personal favorites.
Q: What would most people be surprised to know about you? Why?
A: I have two middle names, and I am an Irish triplet.
Q: What is your favorite hobby?
A: My favorite hobby is playing soccer or flag football.
Q: What is your favorite food?
A: Blue cheese burgers and Caesar salad.
Q: If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?
A: Live in the moment.
Q: Is there anything else you would like people to know about you?
A: I recently studied abroad in Europe and visited Barcelona (Spain), Prague (Czech Republic), Brussels (Belgium), and Rome (Italy).
I attend the University of Missouri where I am majoring in Journalism and minoring in business.
I have a black and white lab mix named Apollo.
