BCS Financial Corporation is excited to welcome four interns to our team this summer! As part of our internship program these students and recent graduates are gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful work across the company.

To help you get to know them a little better, we asked each intern a series of fun, personality-filled questions – from favorite foods to life slogans. Keep reading to learn more about them.

About Our Interns:

Katherine Laio

Q: What is your favorite place in the world? Why?

A: Costa Rica. My parents and I traveled there during Spring Break and loved it. It’s such a beautiful place and the people are so nice where we stayed. Also, there were many fun things to do- we went ziplining, jet skiing, and played pickleball.

Q: Who is your favorite superhero and why?

A: Captain America because he protects and wants to keep everyone safe while being fair.

Q: If you were stranded on a desert island what three items would you have with you?

A: I would take my phone, sunscreen, and food/water.

Q: If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be

A: Live life to the fullest and find the good in each day.

Q: What would most people be surprised to know about you? Why?

A: I have a twin brother.

Alvin Li

Q: Where’s your favorite place in the world? Why?

A: My favorite place in the world is New York City; the energy that city brings is unlike any other city, and the vibes are unlike any other city I’ve ever been to.

Q: What would most people be surprised to know about you? Why?

A: I think most people would be surprised to know my favorite movie genre is actually horror. There’s just something about a super scary movie that makes me feel alive, especially ones that are based on real events.

Q: What is your favorite food?

A: My favorite food right now is ramen. I’m not a huge fan of noodles, actually, but ramen from Japan is on another level.

Q: Who is your favorite superhero? Why?

A: My favorite superhero is Spider-Man; being younger and smaller than most of his enemies, but still able to hang with the best of them, is inspiring.

Q: What is your favorite hobby?

A: My favorite hobby is playing video games. I love being immersed in another world and story.

Q: If you were to create a slogan for your life, what would it be?

A: If I had to pick a slogan for my life, I think it would be “Keep it simple”. I feel like my most enjoyable moments in life are when I’m able to forget about everything else and just live in the moment.

Q: Is there anything else you would like people to know about you?

A: I am very passionate about traveling and experiencing the world’s different cultures. I last travelled to Japan in 2023, and the thing I enjoyed the most was the food.

I am very interested in emerging technologies and how they will impact our lives. The development of social media, video games, and artificial intelligence is something that I find truly amazing.

Learning about the world of stocks and investing is another topic that piques my interest.
